Iron Railing Project Pennsylvania, USA

Sigi Koko, the Principal of Down To Earth Design contacted me to use my BENT iron railing as it complimented and accommodated a home that had a couple of trees growing through it. Naturally my BENT Iron Art railing was the way to go.

Seen here in these photos my BENT Iron Art railing intersects with the tree trunks in a home that had a couple of trees growing through it that look like sculpted pieces on their own and go up and through the home.  The first photo has the railing finished with the wood handrail capping it off nicely.

The rail had a flat iron piece on the top to fit into the dado groove on the bottom of the wood handrail.  The bottom rail is a decorative rail that screwed directly into the floor giving a nice rail to floor look.

Once everything was created, powder coated and crated it was shipped to Pennsylvania for the contractor to easily install themselves.

My creations are made from 1/2 inch solid round mild steel and I hand bend it while the steel is cold.  Through multiple layers of welding and grinding at the points where the iron intersects itself, a seamless piece is created.  Each piece of art is then laid out so that no 2 pieces are the same. This gives you one of a kind pieces of functional iron art to enhance your living space.

All of my railing is priced per linear foot and includes a powder coat finish of your choice, click here to see what colors are available.
