Here is my BENT Iron Art interior railing design used in a home in Fisherman’s Cove, Virginia. I created the BENT metal railing sections based on the dimensions provided by the client. In addition I provided the reclaimed fir posts with a distressed wood finish.
My metal railing design is made from 1/2 inch solid round mild steel and I hand bend it while the steel is cold. Each piece of art is laid out so that no 2 pieces are the same. I look at each one as it’s own unique piece of art and through multiple layers of welding and grinding at the points where the iron intersects itself, a seamless piece of art is created. This gives you one of a kind pieces of functional iron art to enhance your living space.
