This new iron railing design by artist Cam Harris called Vines is a combination of 1/2 inch and 3/8 inch solid round iron. You will find the designs weaving over each other giving the iron art depth. At other points, it intersects and is blended together creating a seamless piece of iron art.
The wrought iron railing below was for a client in Norwalk Ohio. It consisted of railings for the stairs and the entire upper level of the newly built home.
My VINES metal railing design is made from 1/2 inch solid and 3/8 inch solid round mild steel and I hand bend it while the steel is cold. Each piece of art is laid out so that no 2 pieces are the same. I look at each one as its own unique piece of art and through multiple layers of welding and grinding at the points where the iron intersects itself, a seamless piece of art is created. This gives you one-of-a-kind pieces of functional iron art to enhance your living space.
